Fun Reading
So this week I was feeling a little burned out and frustrated with professional reading. (I blame the Wiki's) Anyway, one of my favorite genres of reading is mysteries. My sister gave me James Pattersons "The 11th hour" It is about a a group of professional women that solve mysteries. The main character is a women cop and her friends are a reporter, judge and ME. Probably not one of his best but it was fun. Off to my Janet Evanovich for another fun read before the big wedding next week!

That sounds like a good one to read. Mysteries are so fascinating, and they always keep me under their spell.
ReplyDeletePam, I recently finished reading Gillian Flynn's books "Sharper Objects" and "Dark Places," as well as "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" by Ransom Riggs. Those were all great books with a mystery/adventure/suspense feel to them!
ReplyDeleteBecky, I've seen the Miss Peregrine's book, did you like it?
DeletePam I love reading mysteries as well. I may have to check this book out.
ReplyDeletePam, Mysteries are almost always entertaining to read. I'll have to check this one out. It probably won't be for a few weeks though, I'll be done with my masters then and i might have a little more free time. Thanks for the tip.
ReplyDeleteHi Pam, I wasn't sure where to comment about the above site,"Free Technology for Teachers," so I decided to write here. I think this is the coolest iPad application for early programming! It is an excellent tool and would really be great for the early grades. (and it is free) Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about being burnt out on professional reading. I am a very slow reader and have struggled to keep up with this course and the other course I am taking on Assessments. I am reading so much, that I almost wish I didn't have to read my mail. I had hopes of reading some books this summer, but maybe they'll have to wait until these courses are done.
